North Eastern Counties Dobermann Society Championship Show Sunday 14^th of September 2025

Thank you to the committee of North Eastern Counties Dobermann Society for inviting me to judge their championship show and allow me the honour to award my first set of CCs. Thank you to my stewards , Nigel and Jackie who helped make my appointment enjoyable.

I was delighted with my main winners and with the overall quality of the entry.  All exhibits were presented in overall good condition and mouths in general were good.

Thanks to the exhibitors for their entries and for the sporting manner they accepted my decisions.

Class 1; Baby Puppy Dog – No entries

Class 2; Baby Puppy Bitch (1,0)

1. De Haaff’s Krieger’s New Illusion; very smart five month Br/R bitch who is well off for bone but still retains elegance; feminine wedge shaped head which is lean with level head planes and good depth to muzzle, dark almond shaped eye and ears which are neatly set; front and rear angles are balanced and forechest is developing well; level topline and good tailset; moved very steadily. Best Baby Puppy Bitch and Best Baby Puppy in Show.

Class 3; Veteran Dog – No entries

Class 4; Minor Puppy Dog (2,0)

1. Robertson’s Cockneyoka Commander; B/R six month who is still raw at moment but has potential; he has an elegant wedge shaped head with good head planes and the darkest of almond shaped eyes, I would prefer ears to be smaller but they are set well on head; front and rear angles are balanced; he has the tightest of feet, front legs are knucklng slightly, topline is level but needs tightening which should come with maturity; movement was ok when handler got him settled and moving at a steady pace. 2. Brough’s Aniiraz Ajax The Greater; B/R who was nine months on the day of show; compact male with substance; masculine head with good depth of muzzle and flat cheeks; very dark almond shaped eyes giving a piercing expression; ears which are set correctly, well developed forechest ;he has a very short topline, however this tends to roach which spoils his overall outline; moved steadily.

Class 5; Puppy Dog(1,0)

1. Ingram & Lack’s Jojavik Assassin’s Code; ten month B/R; beautiful wedge shaped head which is masculine but still refined with desired stop and flat cheeks; eyes are correct shape and dark; ears are set neatly; long clean neck with no wrinkle; angles are balanced; he stands on the tightest of feet and strong pasterns; good tailset; moved out well with good reach, would prefer stronger topline on move but time is on his side. BPD & BPIB

Class 6; Junior Dog (1,0)

1. Merchant’s Krieger’s Mark Miwords At Mandareus; 16 month B/R, strong male with substance; masculine head with good head planes, defined stop and good depth of muzzle; dark almond shaped eyes; long neck and slightly sloping topline; balanced angles, moved with drive. Would have preferred him to be carrying a little less weight.

Class 7; Yearling Dog (1,0)

1. Brannan & Mycroft’s Ch Supetas Boys are Back in Town JW; masculine standard size 22 month Br/R who combines substance with elegance; he presents a compact, square clean outline; superb masculine head which is wedge shaped with good length and excellent depth of muzzle, required stop and good underjaw; eyes are almond shaped, dark and make for a good expression; neck is clean and flows into well laid shoulders and short, strong slightly sloping topline; front is straight and his forechest is good; feet are tight; his angles are good and balanced; he moved powerfully and true holding his topline. DCC & BIS

Class 8; Novice Dog (1,0)

1. Robertson’s Cockneyoka Communique; seven month Br/R who needs time to mature; head is refined and has good length; dark almond shaped eyes, ears are well set; neck is clean and topline is slightly sloping but needs to strengthen which hopefully comes with maturity; sufficient rear angulation but I would prefer more length in upper arm; he stands on tight feet; movement was difficult to assess but when handler got him settled he moved true.

Class 9; Graduate Dog (1,0)

1. De Haff’s Krieger’s Limelight; substantial masculine 22 month B/R prsented in excellent condition; masculine head with good length, piercing dark eyes; well set ears; slight stop, I would prefer tighter lips; neck is clean and flows into shoulders and strong slightly sloping topline. Balanced front and rear angles; good straight front; muscled rear end; tight feet, well developed forechest. Moved well at a steady pace with reach and drive.

Class 10; Post Graduate  Dog (2,2)

Class 11; Limit Dog (9,2)

1. Bishop’s Korifey Heartbreak to Sacaria; two year old standard size Br/R who presents a very clean outline; he has a stunning head which is masculine but refined – wedge shaped with good length and sufficient depth; slight stop; ears are neat and well set; dark almond shaped eye and flat cheeks; long, clean neck which flows into shoulders and level topline; straight front with tight elbows; angles are good and are balanced front and rear with excellent muscle tone; good tailset; he moved steadily and true with desired reach and drive. RCC
2. Stracey’s Krieger’s Lasting Image; upstanding 19 month B/R shown in excellent condition who pushed hard for first place; he has a masculine head which is wedge shaped and has good length; he has the correct eye shape and flat cheeks; ears are well set; strong underjaw; his neck is long and topline slightly sloping and strong; front is straight and he has a well developed forechest; angles are balanced front and rear; he moved out well with reach and drive.

Class 12; Open Dog (6,0)

1. Fletcher’s Ch Sacaria Whisper of Hope; three year old Br/R who presents a sharp balanced outline; shown in muscular condition; head is wedge shaped and is of excellent length, good head planes; has slight stop and flat cheeks; ears are set well; he has a beautiful almond shaped dark eye; his neck is long and elegant; his front is straight and he has tight feet; angles are balanced front and rear; he moved very true and steadily holding topline.
2. Jones’ & Ushakova’s Ch Lux Ch Bel Ch Korifey Vanquish JW; five year old standard size B/R who presents a balanced outline; his head is wedge shaped and long with level head planes, desired stop, flat cheeks and dark almond shaped eyes; he has good angulation front and rear and elbows are tight to chest; topline is slightly sloping; good tail set; tight feet; he moved out true with good reach and drive

Class 13; Veteran Bitch (1,0)

1. Mycroft’s Sant Kreal Jewel For Supeta JW (Imp Rus); lively seven year old Br/R; presents square outline; head is of good length with dark almond shaped eyes; angles are balanced front and rear; short, strong topline and good tailset; moved steadily; BVIS

Class 14; Minor Puppy Bitch; (2,0)

1. Capell, Brough and Brannan’s Aniiraz Wild Cybele Avec Llepac; feminine nine month B/R; elegant head which is of good length, correct stop, dark eye and flat cheeks; long elegant neck; sufficient balanced angulation both front and rear; tight feet; moved steadily holding her topline; handled to best advantage
2. McLaren’s Teuschons Raspberry Beret; compact seven month B/R; wedge shaped head with dark almond shaped eyes; ears are set well on head; front and rear angles are balanced; nicely developed forechest; slightly sloping topline and good tailset; feet could be tighter but that should come with maturity; moved steadily.

Class 15; Puppy Bitch (1,0)

1. Ingram & Lack’s Jojavik Bera Brawnyboots; ten month Br/R; litter sister to the puppy dog winner and many of the same comments apply; she has a feminine head with good planes and excellent length, dark almond shaped eye; ears are of good size and are set well on head; elegant long neck; her front and rear angles are good and balanced; topline is slightly sloping but needs to strengthen; moved out well; BPB

Class 16; Junior Bitch (4,1)

1. Stracey’s Krieger’s Mirror Image; balanced 16 month Br/R; feminine wedge shaped head with good length and depth of muzzle; correct slight stop; eyes are correct shape and dark; ears are set well on head; clean neck flows into good shoulders; good balanced front and rear angles; short sloping topline; straight front; moved true and steadily with good reach; pushed hard for top honours.
2. Bishop’s Alkakhest Sacaria; year old B/R who has stil to mature but has lots of potential; lovely feminine head with excellent length and the darkest of eyes; straight front and tight feet; balanced front and rear angles; topline is short but needs to settle; moved ok when settled.

Class 17; Yearling Bitch (1,0)

1. Moore’s Elmorell Ready for It JW; 14 month B/R presented in excellent condition; beautiful head which is long and wedge shaped; eyes are almond shaped and very dark; I would prefer lips to be tighter; long, clean neck; moderate and balanced front and rear angles; strong topline; enough fore chest; moved well

Class 18; Novice Bitch  – No entries 

Class 19; Graduate Bitch (2,1)

1. Nicol’s Supeta’s Black Rose at Evnjays; smart 22 month B/R; good head which is wedge shaped; good planes and length, dark eye; clean neck; straight front and tight feet; gently sloping topline; good balanced angulation front and rear; moved steadily and true for her runner; handler needs to not overstretch on the stack as this loses her balanced outline.

Class 20; Post Graduate Bitch (4,0)

I must mention that the handlers and dogs in this class coped very well as the exhibits in the next ring were at this point being very vocal and distracting.

1. Blackburn’s Knecht Mirelle; two year old Br/R who was shown in super hard condition She presents a clean balanced outline and also combines substance and elegance; head is feminine, wedge shaped with good length, dark almond shaped eyes which are well filled; I would prefer ears to be smaller but they are set well on head; elegant neck and short sloping topline; well developed forechest; balanced front and rear angles; balanced movement –  steady but powerfully.
2. Brannan, Mycroft & Brough’s Supeta’s Playing with Fire Avec Aniiraz; 22 month Br/R who pushed hard for first place in class. Head is wedge shaped with sufficient length, good planes and good depth of muzzle, dark almond shaped eyes; good balanced front and rear angles;evident forechest; strong slightly sloping topline; moved out well with good reach and drive. I would have preferred her to be carrying slightly less weight.

Class 21; Limit Bitch (6,0)

1. Taylor & Stracey’s Krieger’s In Style JW; eye catching three year old B/R who presents a clean sharp outline and shown in excellent condition; her head is feminine with good length, very dark almond shaped eye and flat cheeks; ears are set well on head; long lean neck flows into a strong short topline; straight front and very tight feet; good balanced front and rear angles and developed forechest; moved steady and true.
2. Moss’ Amazon Fever; compact 19 month Br/R who is well off for bone but still retains elegance; wedge shaped head with good depth of muzzle; dark almond shaped eyes; long neck; straight front and tight feet; short sloping topline; balanced front and rear angles; moved well with drive.

Class 22; Open Bitch (7,2)

1. Jones’ Ch Supeta’s Waiting For An Alibi From Korifey JW; 22 month Br/R who presents a beautiful compact, square & sharp outline and was shown in excellent condition; her head is wedge shaped, has good length and planes; required slight stop and flat cheeks; eyes are correct shape and dark giving a lively alert expression; ears are set well; her neck is clean and flows into a very strong slightly sloping topline; front is straight; tight feet; excellent angulation with a deep forechest; good tailset; balanced and true movement with topline held firmly at all times. BCC & RBIS
2. Evan’s Ch Amazon Just Let Me Adore You JW; three year old B/R shown in hard condition and who pushed hard for first place; she also has a very feminine head which is wedge shaped with good length, required slight stop and flat cheeks; eyes are almond shaped and ears are neat and set well; neck is clean; her angulation is good and balanced both front and rear; strong slightly sloping topline; she moved powerfully around ring with good reach and drive holding her topline.
