North Eastern Counties Dobermann Society Championship Show Saturday 14^th of September 2024. (Rescheduled from Driffield)

Thank you to all of the exhibitors for their entries and thank you for bearing with the society on the change of date, thoughts are with Driffield Society. Thanks to the committee for my appointment and also to my stewards on the day.  Some hard decisions on the day particularly in bitches’ the quality was superb this gave me a big task in the bitch challenge.

Minor Puppy Dog:

1^st:  Stacey’s, L, Krieger’s Lasting Image, black and rust. Head in proration to body level head planes dark almond eye with alert expression. square and compact, with smart balanced outline, very rich markings. Ample bone and substance good width of stifle, tight feet and good angles front and rear. Moved very well for a puppy and had a great relationship with handler.

Puppy Dog:

Best Puppy Dog:

1^st:  Brannan and Mycroft Supeta’s Boys Are Back In Town brown and rust, smaller but very smart and balanced puppy. Head wedge shaped with correct planes; eyes not alert today appears somewhat tired eye colour correct for the hue of coat. Has short compact outline, good spring of rib. Balanced front and hind quarters well filled croup and ample turn of stifle, stands on tight feet, sufficient bone and substance nice reach of neck flowing into strong top line which held on the move. Presents an overall balanced picture, moved well. One to watch with interest.

Yearling Dog :

1^st:     Bishops, C, Korifey Heart Break To Sarcaria, brown and rust. Head has ample length of muzzle and under jaw. Moderately dark eye with soft but alert expression balanced in outline, chest down to elbows which are tight has good reach of neck ample bone stands on tight feet sufficient front and rear angulation and correct turn of stifle sloping topline and well filled croup, parallel hocks and tight feet. Height to length gives a square profile. Showed and moved very well.

2^nd:  Hickling. Mr A and Mrs C, Evalesco Ego Boost, JW black and rust. Head in proportion to body and good head planes and length of muzzle, almond eyes very alert. The larger of the two males, ample bone and substance, ample fore chest, neck flows in to firm topline and well filled croup, would prefer more turn of stifle has ample width of second thigh, tight feet. He gave handler a hard time today

Novice Dog.

1^st:  Stacey’s, L, Krieger’s Lasting Image, first in minor puppy.

Graduate Dog:

1^st:    Brough, Mr and Mrs, Brannan Supeta’s Miami Heat for Aniiraz, black and rust, strong male. Head is strong with slight width to back skull dark almond eye with alert expression and ample underjaw up to height, ample depth of chest sitting at the elbow however these could be tighter. Good front and rear angles, compact in shape desire a bit more length, sloping topline to croup and sufficient turn of stifle. Strong in bone and substance. Showed and moved well for handler.

2^ND:  Wrights Mrs M and I, Kitardo’s Ever So Funky, brown and rust. Head in proportion to body, alert almond eye with lots of under jaw square compact and balanced, ample forechest, which sits on tight elbows. Lots of bone and substance, long reach of neck flowing into strong topline held on the move sufficient front and rear angulation good turn of stifle. Moved and handled well today.

Post Dog:

1^s:  Kent Mr M, Mrs J and A Sutton, Korifey Reckless, Jw, black and rust. Head is very wedge shaped would prefer more length of muzzle this boy has the darkest of eye, almond shape with an alert expression, markings are very rich. Very smart and square, short and compact with very clean outline lots of fore chest which is right down to elbow. Neck flows in to topline and filled croup. Front is straight and he stands on catlike feet, is well angulated front and rear. moves with reach and drives from rear.

Reserve Best in Show

1^st Blackburn Mr, L, Knecht Little Richard Jw, Shcex. Black and rust Head in proportion to body wedge shaped and parallel planes, eye are well filled of almond shape dark in definition. Muzzle line parallel to top line of skull has sufficient underjaw. square in profile, ample bone and substance and strength all male. Sufficient chest down to tight elbows, good spring of rib. Reach of neck strong topline which holds on the move, balanced angulation of front and hind quarters. Croup is well filled out. Hocks are parallel and perpendicular has good turn of stifle with tight catlike feet.  This boy wanted to move all day in tune throughout presentation with handler. Please to award him the CC his first and I got the impression I had made some one very happy on the day.

2^nd

Youngs, Mrs M, Kriegers Hunky Dory JW, very dark brown and rust I have judged and awarded reserve CC before. Strong head, with defined stop, parallel head planes, good reach of neck. Ample forchest, brisket down to elbows, return of upper arm could be slightly better. Strong topline with slope to croup. He has good front and rear angulation. Displays ample bone and substance, brought back in for second view in the challenge sadly today carrying a bit too much weight today.

Open Dog:

1^st : Taylor Mrs and Mrs K and F Ch Krieger’s Foul Play, black and rust Head strong and in proportion to body would prefer a darker eye, this boy is very alert and, on his toes, another one who is all male. Has ample amounts of forechest, chest is down to elbow he is square in profile, good portions of height to length, neck is long and lean nape is very muscular neck flows to strong sloping topline. Ample, stands on tight feet. Moved well in class and challenge.

2^nd    Downie Mr Robert, Knecht Mandek, black and rust. Head in proportion to body not as strong as 1^st, dark almond eye with plenty of fill and sufficient underjaw, neat set ears good reach of neck sufficient depth of chest which is down to elbow which could be slightly closer to body, shoulder and upper arm of equal length, ample forchest. Sufficient bone and substance slightly length to loin. Sloping topline to good croup and tail set. Showed and moved well for handlers.

1^st: Jones Mrs L, Supeta’s waiting For an Alibi from Korifey. brown and rust puppy. Head in proportion to body eye correct in colour for coat almond shaped and very alert. Has a very clean smart and balanced outline mature for her age ample forechest correct lay of shoulder clean neck into slight sloping top line to well filled croup, elbows so close to brisket, good front and rear angulation parallel hocks, tight feet. Well-muscled and in great condition Her movement stood out in the challenge she flows with top line held tight on the move, could not deny this youngster the reserve CC.

2^nd: Mrs P, Supeta, s Rosalie At Sonomara, brown and rust puppy litter sister to the class winner. Head in proportion to body t, nice alert expression, balanced outline sufficient forechest, chest depth down to elbow which sits close to brisket, nice reach of neck, sloping topline correct croup. moved well.

Junior Bitch:

1^st Daniel, Mr, G, R Supeta’s Miami Kiss For Mattacane, black and rust shortlisted to the last three in the challenge. I love her head its stronger but in proration for frame correct wedge shaped there is length of muzzle; and ample under jaw. Eyes are dark and almond with the nicest of expression. Forechest still developing good return of shoulder long neck flowing into topline with no break and very clean croup elbows tight to brisket balanced front and rear angulation completes the square and compact frame. She moved better in her class than in the challenge.

2^nd Mycroft’s Mrs, S, M, Imidz Lady Melody of Supeta (Imp Lva) brown and the darkest of rust. Head in proportion to body almond eye would prefer more definition in stop. ample forecast, good lay of shoulder, front feet need to tighten square and smart in outline  long and lean sloping topline and well filled croup good rear and front angulation, nice turn of stifle. Movement completes the overall picture.

Novice Bitch:

1st Gardiners Mrs P,  Supeta,s Rosalie At Sonomara second in puppy.

Graduate Bitch:

1^st Downie Mr Robert, Knecht Millaeena, black and rust, head clean and wedge shaped dark almond eye plenty of underjaw. Square and compact nice outline ample forchest, chest down to elbow which are tight to brisket, strong topline croup is well filled, front and rear angulation and sufficient turn of stifle, Movement did not disappoint.

 

Post Graduate Bitch:

1^st  Stacey’s, L, Krieger’s in the style, black and tan, pleasing head with dark almond eye, neat ears, lean neck, ample forchest chest down to elbow, strong sloping topline, tight feet. Smart, square and compact outline, move well topline holds tight on the move she moves well.

2^nd Balshaws, Cockneyoka Over the Line. Brown and rust, head in proportion to body eye correct hew for coat colour nice expression with good forchest and lay of shoulder, stands on tight feet, sloping top line into croup, good front and rear angulation. Moved and showed well for her handler.

Limit Bitch:

1^st Daniel, Mr, G, R, Tuwos Macy Gray At Mattacane black and tan, head in proportion to body, length of muzzle dark almond eye, with balanced outline, slightly heavy in profile, ample forchest and correct lay of shoulder chest to elbows which sit tight to brisket long reach of neck strong sloping topline into croup, well developed hind quarters and good rear angulation, she moved well.

Open Bitch:

Best In Show and Bitch CC

1^st Bisland, Mrs J, Ch Krieger’s Highland Fling. Brown and Rust, head is wedge shaped and in proportion to body, there is good length of muzzle eyes are almond shaped with alert expression neat ear carriage, equal length of shoulder blade and upper arm, ample depth to chest which is down to elbows which sit very tight to brisket. Lean neck flowing into strong topline and croup, tail is held both on the stand and when moving. Good front and rear angulation hocks are parallel she is well-muscled and in great condition. Overall, a balanced profile, would like to see her slower when moving. Pleased to award the CC and best in show

2^nd Evans Mr C, Mrs N Evans Ch Amazon let me adore you another super girl black and tan has a very pleasing head with a wedge shape appearance, dark almond eye and alert expression. Square and compact smart outline, lots of forechest good lay of shoulder depth of chest and tight elbows. Strong sloping topline held on the move balanced front and rear angulation competes her profile, she was brough back in for a second look in the challenge pipped by the reserve cc winner who moved better today.
