North Eastern Counties Dobermann Society

Championship Show 28th November 2021

I would like to thank the North Eastern Counties Dobermann Society for the invitation to Judge at their Championship show and also the committee and helpers who made me feel so welcome not forgetting the exhibitors who were very sporting and accepting of my decisions. Since I last judged in mainland UK I have noticed a vast improvement in Head shape and body length however, a lot of exhibits moved very close behind which I feel needs some attention. I found the quality mainly to be in the younger exhibits which can only bode well for the future of our breed.

Minor puppy dog:

• Aritaur Invincible El Teuschon:- This young man had a lovely wedge head with nice dark almond eyes and good underjaw for his age although would prefer better head planes. Lovely straight legs with tight feet and good bone. Had good angulation front & rear, good topline & tailset and moved well

Puppy Dog

• Wot a Thriller Rainbow Warrior (Imp Fra):- This puppy had a strong head with the darkest of eyes. Good bone but would prefer tighter feet. Lovely compact body with great depth of chest strong topline with good tail set. Good angulation fore & aft and moved with drive.

• Thunderstrike:- Nice length of head with dark but slightly rounded eyes. A bit straight in upper arm that gave appearance of a long body. Would prefer more reach of neck. The topline was slightly roached but had well angled rear which produced good drive.

Junior Dog

• Jojavik Master Cutler:- Good wedge head , nice length with ample underjaw, and the darkest of almond eyes. The long neck flowed well into correct shoulders and topline. Nice depth of chest with good forechest. Correct front and rear angles which ensured good reach and driving movement. Res.CC

• Grafmax Oberon at Camperdown:- Would prefer more length of head and less throatiness but hopefully will improve with age. Good strong bone with nice forechest and good topline. Angulation was good but didn’t move as well as 1

Yearling dog

• Ch Korifey Vanquish JW:- Lovely wedge head of good length with correct underjaw and dark eyes. Long neck flowing into correct topline & tail set. Lovely compact body with strong bone, great depth of chest and good forechest and in lovely condition. Excellent angles fore & aft enabling effortless driving movement. Only criticism is that I would have preferred a richer tan and slightly more almond eye but none the less an excellent specimen of the breed combining elegance with soundness : CC and Best in Show

Novice Dog

• Wot A Thriller Rainbow Warrior (imp Fra) (seen dog)
• Thunderstrike (seen dog)

Graduate Dog

• Jojavik Snow Piercer:- Lovely compact dog with good bone. Nice length of head with long neck flowing into good shoulders. Correct topline and tailset. Angulation front and rear was good. Would prefer tighter feet and also he moved very close behind, but otherwise a decent specimen.

• Rafthouse Amulet’s child (seen dog) Was placed 3^rd in junior and overlooked critique in this class (apologies)

Limit Dog

• Tuwos Liusaidh:- Tall elegant dog with good substance. Nice length of head with good

underjaw. Nice dark almond eyes. Long neck flowed into correct topline. Good depth of chest with ample forechest. Moved slightly close behind and would prefer a little less loose skin under muzzle but still an excellent well balanced example of the breed.

• Kriegers Foul Play:- Substantial male with good bone and tight feet. Has level parallel head planes although would prefer slightly more length of head. Nice dark almond eyes. Good length of neck with correct topline. Nice depth of body with good forechest. Good turn of stifle.

• Nerak Wot A Dream

Open Dog

• Jojavik Victor Rizzi At Kateamead:- A well balanced male with good length of head and good underjaw. Strong neck with good topline and well set tail. Nicely angulated front and rear. Would prefer tighter feet and he moved slightly close behind but otherwise a fine example of the breed

• Amazon Pure Russian JW :- Lovely compact dog with good head planes and dark almond eyes. Nice length of neck that flowed seamlessly through to a gently sloping topline. Ample forechest and good depth of chest completed the picture. Unfortunately let down on the move

Minor Puppy Bitch

• Supeta’s Echoes Of Love For Langlore:- Stunning feminine brown baby. Lovely length of head with level planes, good underjaw, and almond eyes giving a pleasing expression. Nice forechest and well angulated fore and aft with well laid back shoulders and strong sloping topline completing the picture. One of the best movers on the day. I find it hard to find fault with her. Stood out in the line up. She should have a great future ahead. CC Bitch and Res Best in Show

• Supeta’s Pocketful Of Love For Sharhyste:- Head planes not as good as 1 but does have dark almond eye. Nicely angulated front and rear with good topline and tail set. Nice rich tan. Didn’t move as well as 1

• Satinea Fevronia At Telenndu

Puppy Bitch

• Teuschons Temptress:- Nice square bitch with ample forechest, strong bone tight feet good topline and tailset. Would prefer more length of head. Although well angulated at the rear she moved close behind.

Junior Bitch

• Grafmax Titania:- Would prefer a longer head with more underjaw. Has good depth of chest with reasonable forechest but a bit long in body although the topline and tailset was good. Decent turn of stifle. Moved close behind

Yearling Bitch

• Diego’s Debbie Harry:- Lovely compact bitch with good angulation fore and aft. Good head with nice dark almond eye. Good length of neck flowed into correct level topline. Nice depth of body. Moved well

• Jane Créme De La Créme At Scorpo Angel:- Another compact bitch with a good length of head, level planes and almond eyes. Would prefer a longer neck and more forechest. Angulation front and rear was good but moved close behind.

Novice Bitch

• Supeta’s Echoes Of Love for Langlore: (Seen Bitch)

Graduate Bitch

• Lamarg The Russian Princess:- Nicely balanced bitch with good bone, nice depth of body and good forechest although would prefer better turn of stifle. Nice length of head with dark eyes and level planes. Moved well

• Grafmax Titania (seen bitch)

Post Graduate Bitch

• Jodaseen Bootylicious:- Nice wedge head although would prefer more length but lovely dark almond eyes. Good bone with ample forechest and depth of body and good topline & tailset. The correct angulation fore and aft resulted in good movement. I would prefer a longer neck and darker tan but overall quite a nice bitch.

• Diego’s Doris Day:- Nice compact bitch with good bone and rich tan. Good head shape but planes could be better. Nice dark almond eye. Strong topline and good turn of stifle. Didn’t move as well as 1.

Limit Bitch

• Korifey Oksana:- Good length and shape of head with correct dark almond eyes and lovely expression. Her long neck flowed into a strong topline. Nice forechest and correct front and

rear assembly . Moved with drive.

• Supeta’s Whole Lotta Rosie with Sharhyste JW:- Another nice head with correct eye although would prefer more underjaw. Nice compact shape with good angles. Didn’t move as well as 1

• Sharhyste Maid In The Purple For Aniiraz

Open Bitch

• Multi Ch Jojavik Devils Ivy JW:- Lovely feminine bitch with super outline. Good length of head with darkest of eyes and good underjaw. Correct angles fore and aft which showed in her lovely movement. Shown in super hard condition and handled well:-  Res CC

• Manrio Galataya:- Another lovely female with good head, dark eye and plenty of underjaw. Nice length of neck flowing into correct topline. Would prefer more forechest  but otherwise the front and rear angles were excellent. Moved well when she settled.
